The PPS Foundation is making it easier for donors to choose how they can make an impact on student achievement Right Now. The Foundation has created a new annual giving program. To designate a particular destination for your donation, simply indicate the "Right Now Fund" on the online donation form OR use the printable pledge card.

Horizons Club

Career Exploration Program

The Peoria Public Schools Foundation is pleased to announce a new program for middle school students.  The Horizons Club intent is to allow students to investigate various industries and occupational possibilities.  This program will start in mid-January for the rest of the school year.  Three schools will have the lunch time club for students including 6th, 7th and 8th graders. (Rolling Acres, Calvin Coolidge and Von Steuben).   The investigations will be web-based learning as well as a speaker series featuring professionals from a wide variety of industries. A year-end career fair will be coordinated by the students in the club.  We welcome Trish O'Shaunessy who will be leading this effort.

The Right Now Fund and the Fine Arts

Through the generosity of donors to the Right Now Fund, music students throughout Peoria Public Schools were treated to an entertaining evening.  The students were encouraged to enter a essay contest describing how music impacted their lives.  Twenty students enjoyed a special evening including a nice dinner, tickets to Wicked and transportation. The 17th Annual PPS Foundation Golf Outing
